Herm, the Old Buzzard...

Hello: I am The Old Buzzard, KWBC's Program Director. I have been a fan of Traditional Country music since I laid on my brother's bedroom floor while we listened to WSM together in the 50's. I was glad to turn 16 so I could get a car and drive to the radio station to carry coffee for the DJ's. Of course, I got a job when the Sunday announcer moved on and my love for radio has continued 'till this day.

I look forward to hosting a couple of live shows each week as well as doing interviews from our studios on the banks of the beautiful Current River, 8 miles from nowhere in the Missouri Ozarks, and from Branson and Nashville. Over the years I have learned a lot about the country and bluegrass music business and hope to share it with my listeners. Of course, we will have on-air discussions where you can call in and share your knowledge and ask your questions. If you share my love of Country music here is a great book to read to learn more about the early "glory days" of WSM and Nashville. I do highly recommend this book.
