Our sound...

The station we will sound the most like is WSM-AM, the 50,000 watt clear channel station out of Nashville and the home of the Grand Ole Opry. WSM is a great station and is heard in 17 states with a strong night time signal. If you can receive their broadcasts at 650 on the AM dial I suggest you tune in about 8 PM Central time to hear Eddie Stubbs and his evening show. Now if you do tune it in you'll get a preview of what KWBC will be like.

The music we play...

We will be featuring TRADITIONAL country music from the 1930's through the present. TRADITIONAL means lots of steel guitar, dobro and fiddles, with hints of bluegrass thrown in. We have spent over 5 months so far scouring the web and personal collections to come up with some of the finest performances ever!

In addition we will be including some special, regular times for Bluegrass, Southern Gospel and Western music. We will be talking about the music and the performers and if the music is still available you'll be able to purchase it through links next to our play list.

Scheduling...

KWBC.fm will be on 24 hours a day and will broadcast specifically for time zones around the world. We also plan on interviewing artists in Branson and also having them co-DJ some shows. In addition we plan on presenting remote broadcasts from music festivals and events.

At the present time we plan a commercial-free station similar to NPR but with some optional upgrades and members-only features, with a low-key pledge drive planned each quarter.

All in all, if you like our genre, we think you'll love our station. Stay alert, we plan to go live in late September! Ya all come back now, ya hear?
